11/29/2000: Triad's Lincoln Radio Stations to Cover Nebraska Huskers Sports in Five-Year Exclusive Deal
Triad Broadcasting Company Inks New Broadcast Affiliate Agreement With Pinnacle Sports
Lincoln, NE, and Monterey, CA, November 29, 2000 – Triad Broadcasting Company, L.L.C., of Monterey, California, today announced that it has signed an affiliate agreement with Pinnacle Sports Productions, L.L.C., of Elkhorn, NE, to broadcast sporting events for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln on the radio broadcasting company’s Lincoln radio stations. Under the terms of the agreement, which is effective August 1, 2001, through July 31, 2006, Triad Broadcasting’s Lincoln radio stations KLIN-AM, KFGE-FM and KBBK-FM will have exclusive radio broadcast rights to all Huskers sporting events. Triad Broadcasting’s Lincoln stations have been the exclusive radio broadcast home of Huskers sports since 1993. Triad’s current five-year affiliate agreement with Pinnacle Sports expires on July 31, 2001.
Triad Broadcasting Company owns and operates 42 small and middle market radio stations nationwide, including Lincoln radio stations KLIN-AM, KFGE-FM, KBBK-FM, KKUL-FM and KWBE-AM in Beatrice, NE. Triad Broadcasting acquired the Lincoln radio stations earlier this year. Pinnacle Sports Productions, L.L.C. is the current rights holder for the University of Nebraska sports broadcasts.

they love. KLIN will be the source for Huskers football,
with KLIN’s Sports Director Gary Sharp serving as the
Huskers’ sideline announcer. KFGE Froggy 98.1 will join
KLIN in covering Huskers football and men’s basketball.
KLIN will continue to cover men’s baseball and some
women’s softball, and for the first time, KBBK will
broadcast all women’s volleyball events for the
University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Triad Broadcasting’s
radio stations are proud to partner with the Huskers
teams to offer outstanding sports reporting and
entertainment for their loyal fans in the central state
area.”
