TRIAD BROADCASTING ANNOUNCES SOUTH CAROLINA AREA RADIO
STATION TRANSACTIONS
June 14, 2006 HILTON HEAD,
SC…Triad Broadcasting Company today announced the
company has entered into an agreement to purchase Paris
Island’s WGZO-FM 103.1 from Zip Communications for an
undisclosed sum. Triad’s Hilton Head cluster has been
selling WGZO ‘The Drive’ Classic Hits under a Joint
Sales Agreement since September 1, 2000.
In a related announcement the Company said that
Adventure Communications, a wholly owned Triad
subsidiary, has reached an agreement to sell Hilton Head
Adult Alternative WWVV-FM, Modern Music-The Wave 104.9,
to JB Broadcasting, LLC. JB Broadcasting is a subsidiary
of Broomfield Broadcasting of South Carolina headed by
John Broomfield. Broomfield Broadcasting owns two other
stations in South Carolina. KALIL & CO., INC. brokered
the transaction.

Both transactions were filed today with the FCC and will
place Triad in compliance with current FCC ownership
rules.
