MICHAEL BROOKS NAMED TO RUN TRIAD BROADCASTING’S “GO
RADIO” GROUP IN FARGO MOORHEAD
Triad Broadcasting Company
announced today that Michael Brooks has been elevated to
the position of Market Manager of its Go Radio
Broadcasting properties, the leading group of radio
stations in Fargo Moorhead.
Brooks has been the
long-time Director of Sales for the Go Radio group of
stations, which includes the market’s leading station,
Froggy 99.9 KVOX-FM, as well as FM 105 KLTA, 107.9 The
Fox KPFX, Q98 KQWB-FM, 106.9 The Eagle KEGK, and KQWB-AM.
“Michael has always done
an exemplary job of running the advertising side of our
company,” said David Benjamin, President of Triad, which
is the parent company of Go Radio. We’re obviously
confident of his abilities. He was the clear choice to
run our overall operations.”
Brooks’ promotion comes in
the wake of the resignation by Nancy Odney, who had run
the Go Radio group for the last 7 years under Triad.
Acknowledging the recent changes of personnel and
ownership in the Fargo market, Triad Sr. Vice President
Mike Wild said, “We wish Nancy well, but we’re also
genuinely enthused at the degree to which our staff has
instantly rallied around Michael.
“Fargo Moorhead is a
vibrant and competitive radio market, more so than most
other markets this size. That’s great for listeners, and
equally great for advertisers,” Wild said.
“I’m elated to have the
opportunity,” said Brooks, who has been in Fargo radio
management since 1990. “In the last three days, it has
become very clear that this will be a very exciting
opportunity for our entire team. This move has
brought out the very best in our staff and I appreciate
all of their support. We have the number one group of
stations already and we have the team assembled to make
our company even better.”
Triad has owned the Go
Radio station group since 1999, and also owns KBMW in
Wahpeton, ND. Brooks’ promotion is effective
immediately.
